Friday 13th May - Update

School Jubilee Celebrations

Winshill Village Primary and Nursery School will be celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on

Friday 27th May.

The children do not have to wear their uniform on this day. We would like them to dress up in red, white and blue.

We will be having a picnic on the school field therefore school meals that day will be a special Jubilee sandwich bag.

More details nearer the time.

We break up for half term on Friday 27th May at normal time.

The second half of the summer term starts on Monday 6th June.

The trip is on Thursday 26th May 2022.

The children will leave school at 9.10am and return for the end of the day.

The cost of the trip is £14.30 which includes the coach fare, insurance, entrance fee and two Tudor workshops.

Thursday Clubs next week

Due to a JTMAT Staff Meeting there will be no clubs on Thursday 19th May.

This affects Library Club, Art Club and Running Club.

These clubs will resume the following week.

Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

This does not impact on any other clubs.

Well done to Year 6, who completed their SAT Assessments this week.

We were very proud of their work ethic and their determination to succeed.

We are all very proud of you.

The results are not due to July and will be released in the children’s reports.

There are no Stars of the Week this week because Year 1 completed their class assembly.

Well done to Year 1, they did an amazing job.

Massive Congratulations

A huge congratulations to Seren Grace in Year 4, who has won the coveted “Impact on the Community Award” from Trent & Dove and Burton Albion.

Seren’s award is in recognition of her charity work. Raising over £1,150 for Brain Tumour Research, in memory of Kasie.

We are very proud of her. Well done Seren!

Stay well. stay safe. And let’s all stay kind.
