Friday 15th July - Update

OFSTED Report

As you know the OFSTED report was released last Friday.

I hope you have had the chance to read it.

Congratulations everyone.

A copy of the report can be found here.

Year 6 Leavers’ Assembly

The Year 6 Leavers’ assembly is taking place on Tuesday 19th July at 10am.

Parents of Year 6 children should have received a text, asking for confirmation of who will be attending.

A maximum of 2 visitors per pupil is permitted.

If you have not replied to the text, please do so by 3pm on Monday 18th July.

Survey about the Children’s Reports

I hope you enjoyed reading your child’s reports.

Inside the envelope there was a survey asking your opinion about the reports.

I would be grateful if you could complete this and return it to the school office.

If they could be returned by Tuesday 19th July.

Price Increase

The price of school dinners will rise to £2.57 from September.

Free School Meals will still be available for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 children.

If your child is in Key Stage 2 and you think they are eligible for free school meals, please contact the school office.

Break Up for Summer

Don’t forget that we close for the summer holidays on Wednesday (20th) at 1pm.

Children will then start back to school on Wednesday 7th September.

There will be one more blog from me on Wednesday.

Lunch Changes Next Week

On Tuesday 19th July, the hot dinner will be Fish Fingers and chips.

On Wednesday 20th July, there will be no hot dinner option, the children will have the choice of sandwich bags.

A gentle reminder that school dinners and breakfast club should be paid for BEFORE.

Heat Warning!

You would have seen from the forecast, that there is a warning for extreme heat, next week.

Please ensure that your child is prepared for school; suncream, sun hat, a drink and cool clothing.

Depending on the weather we may review some of our end of term activities, for example we would not go ahead with the disco as the hall would be extremely hot. Here are some tips from the NHS on how to look after yourself in the heat.

Decisions about each event will be made during the morning.

Stay well, stay safe. And let’s all stay kind.

Miss Goodson

Here are some photographs of DT week in school. The children had an amazing time and produced some excellent models.

A special mention and thank you to Miss Hughes, who organised the week! Phenomenal!
