Welcome from Mr Worth!
Welcome to our Year 5 class page! I’m Mr Worth, and I am delighted to be teaching this wonderful class. I’ve taught at Winshill for six years now and love seeing the children’s curiosity and enthusiasm shine at this stage in their learning. We’ve got numerous exciting things planned for the year, from learning about mixtures and filtration in science to enjoying our first school residential. I’m really looking forward to working with you and your children, and together we’ll make sure Year 5 is full of growth, and achievement. Key Information
- PE days – Tuesday and Thursday
- Key routines – School opens at 8:45am, where children enter the building via the playground door and children are expected to be in class before 9am. The school day finishes at 3:20pm, where the children can be collected by the Year 5/6 door.
- Equipment needed – All children should be wearing the appropriate and correct school uniform, as well as bringing a water bottle and a healthy snack to ensure they are energised for their learning. Children should also bring wellies and a suitable outdoor coat for OPAL.

How Can You Help at Home?
- All children are asked to read at home at least three times per week.
- Please can all parents sign their reading diary.
