Year 6 - Extra Support with Home Learning

Hi Year 6,

I hope you are enjoying your half term break and having lots of fun! Although it is the half term, it is important that you are completing some work at home to support your learning. Below are some activities to support you in preparation for your SATS. Please bring in any work you complete over the half term as myself, Mrs Claxton and Mrs Ohene would love to see what you have done!

Maths

Remember, your times tables come into lots of other areas of Maths and help to make your learning easier. You have been set specific times tables on TT rockstars. Remember there are also games such as hit the button on Top marks Maths and also there are times table games available on Maths frame.

Below are different areas of Maths we have covered during our time in Year 6 so far. Remember, if you are struggling you can either ask an adult when back in school or see if the Year 6 calculation videos can help you.

Multiples and Factors

Remember a multiple is the number a multiplication produces, for example 24 is a multiple of 4. A factor is a number which produces an answer when multiplied with another. For example 6 is a factor of 12.
